Cancellation Policy

Please plan carefully and contact us if you have any questions before finalizing simulator appointments or ticket purchases.  As a participant at the Christa McAuliffe Space Center all patrons must agree to the following policies:

Planetarium Show Tickets

Late arrivals – Patrons will not be permitted into the planetarium once the seating process is completed.  Doors will open 5 minutes before the show time and close 5 minutes after.  This is due to the nature of planetarium shows and the need to maintain a dark environment.  Patrons that leave the planetarium during a show will not be permitted to return to their seats.  If an item needs to be retrieved, please seek out a staff member for assistance. (CLOCK)

Rescheduling & Refunds – Planetarium show ticket purchases can be transferred to another future show or partially refundable up to 30 minutes before the show time.  Refunds for canceled tickets do not include 20% of the purchase price to cover processing fees. 

Simulator Reservations

Rescheduling

In the event the PATRON should alter the date of their reservation 3 days ahead of the scheduled reservation, no fees will be assessed and the balance of their deposit will be transferred to the updated event. In the event that the PATRON should reschedule between 24 to 72 hours of the scheduled reservation, PATRON agrees to pay CENTER twenty percent (20%) as a rescheduling fee, to be deducted from the PATRON’S deposit. PATRON will be required to pay additional balance at the time of rescheduling. If rescheduling occurs within 24 hours of the scheduled reservation it will be treated as a cancellation. In the event CENTER reschedules the reservation, then the PATRON’S deposit will be fully transferred to the new reservation.

To reschedule an appointment email [email protected] with the date & time of your current reservation and include the date & time of your desired new reservation.  Any fees will be based off of when you have contacted the Space Center by email or by phone message.

Cancellation 72+ hours before event

In the event the PATRON should cancel a reservation over 72 hours ahead of the scheduled reservation, PATRON agrees to pay CENTER ten percent (10%) as a fee, to be deducted from the PATRON’S deposit. In the event CENTER cancels the reservation, then the PATRON’S deposit will be fully refunded.

Cancellation 24-72 hours before event

In the event the PATRON should cancel a reservation 24 to 72 hours of the scheduled reservation, PATRON agrees to pay CENTER thirty percent (30%) as a processing fee, to be deducted from the PATRON’S deposit. In the event CENTER cancels the reservation, then the PATRON’S deposit will be fully refunded.

Cancellation within 24 hours of event

In the event the PATRON should cancel a reservation within 24 hours of the scheduled reservation, PATRON agrees to pay CENTER sixty percent (60%) as a fee, to be deducted from the PATRON’S deposit. In the event CENTER cancels the reservation, then the PATRON’S deposit will be fully refunded.
